Shake-out grids are machines using predominantly vertical vibration to separate castings and sand / sand lumps. They are predominantly used for large piece weights and low quantities. The material is charged by crane. After the process the de-sanded castings are removed by crane. With this facility the sand shaken out is recycled in a downstream treatment plant and returned to the process.
